The world famous Flemington Racecourse in Melbourne is gearing up to host the highly anticipated ‘Super Saturday’ on Saturday the 6th of March.

Kicking off at 11.30am, with feature Group 1 races such as the Australian Cup (2000m), the Newmarket Handicap (1200m) and the Australian Guineas (1600m), Super Saturday never fails to disappoint.

However spectators also head to Melbourne from all over the country to see the first of the Sires Produce Stakes events of the year run, and on the 6th of March, at Flemington, it will be the 2010 VRC Sires Produce Stakes.

The 2010 VRC Sires Produce Stakes will give punters a good insight into the top two-year-olds.

One colt looking to succeed in the 1400m race is the local Rick Hore-Lacey-trained Toorak Toff. With the Caulfield Guineas as an ultimate goal for the year, the 2010 VRC Sires Produce Stakes will be the debut Group event for the two-year-old.

With good recent form Toorak Toff took the top spot at the Midnight Fever Super Vobis Plate on the 23rd of January, standing him in good stead for Flemington’s run.

The 2010 VRC Sires Produce Stakes will be the third race of the day offering $302,000 in prize money to its competitors.
