Due to jump at 2.20pm this Saturday at the illustrious Morphettville Racecourse is the $100,000 Group 3 SAJC Sires’ Produce Stakes (1400m).
Forming part of the highly anticipated South Australian Oaks Day, the 2010 SAJC Sires’ Produce Stakes will be the fifth of eight races and will see 11 two-year-olds compete.
John Thompson-trained Reventon drew the coveted inside barrier, while the Bill Smart-trained Miners Gem got lumbered with barrier 11.
Trained by Jon O’Connor, Oui Si Attitude is another strong contender having recently defeated Miners Gem.
Thompson’s filly recently won a 1,000 metre race at the South Australian track, and beat fellow starter on Saturday Life Is A Cabernet. The David Hayes-trained horse is looking for her first Group win in the 2010 SAJC Sires’ Produce Stakes.
Trained by Jon O’Connor, Oui Si Attitude is another strong contender having recently defeated fellow SAJC Sires’ Produce Stakes starter recently – Miners Gem in a 1,300 metre event.
However the Morphettville-based filly lost out to another contender on Saturday – Stirling Grove last month in a 1,000 metre sprint at the Morphettville Racecourse, finishing third.
Also taking place on Saturday alongside the 2010 SAJC Sires’ Produce Stakes will be the Group 3 South Australian Oaks (2400m).
