On Saturday, Adelaide played host to some of the state’s elite horses, with the South Australia Oaks Day, and the Group 3 SAJC Sires’ Produce Stakes (1400m) was one of many highlights.
Stirling Grove, trained by Richard Jolly was triumphant in the Group 3 race, winning by a fantastic four lengths at the Morphettville Racecourse.
The 2010 SAJC Sires’ Produce Stakes winner now looks set to starts at the Listed Oaklands Plate (1600m) on the 2nd of May, after going into Saturday’s race as the favourite to win.
Lee Freedman took the second and third place positions, with The Ruffian and Safe rounding out the podium respectively.

Reventon was another favourite going into the race, and the colt finished in an impressive fourth spot.
Also taking place on Saturday alongside the 2010 Group 3 SAJC Sires’ Produce Stakes was the Group 3 South Australian Oaks (2400m).
