Pride Of Dubai ($4.20) charged home to win the Group 1 Blue Diamond Stakes (1200m) in late February and maintains status as sole occupant of the top line of 2015 ATC Sires’ Produce Stakes betting markets ahead of English ($4.60) and Ready For Victory ($4.80) with leading online bookie Ladbrokes.com.au.

Will Pride Of Dubai justify favouritism and win a second Group 1 title, or will one of his talented rivals find the line in the clear?

1st

English ($4.60)

Stamping her claims as a serious racing prospect over her short but impressive career so far, English will need a little luck from barrier 9 in the Sires’ Produce Stakes but is more than worth consideration for a bet at current odds, particularly after being confirmed to be partnered by Tommy Berry. Debuting with an impressive four length victory in a Kembla Grange maiden race on January 31st, the daughter of Encosta De Lago made a successful transition to black type racing in taking out the Group 2 Reisling Stakes (1200m) on March 7th before placing a close second to stable mate Vancouver in the Group 1 Golden Slipper (1200m) a fortnight ago.

2nd

Pride Of Dubai ($4.20)

While opening clear favourite in 2015 ATC Sires’ Produce betting markets, Pride Of Dubai is surprisingly yet to herald much interest from punters and has drifted to current odds of $4.20 from an opening quote of $3.60. Running third in a minor over 1100m on debut, the Street Cry colt returned this year for second in the Blue Diamond Prelude event in his only other start prior to his Group 1 triumph. Allocated the central barrier 6 and confirmed to be partnered by leading jockey Hugh Bowman, Pride Of Dubai will take some beating this weekend.

3rd

Mishani Honcho ($26)

While yet to contest an event at 1400m, Mishani Honcho enters the 2015 ATC Sires’ Produce Stakes as the field’s most experienced runner and appears to be crying out for more distance, and is therefore more than worth consideration for a bet at currents odds. Posting a total of four wins and three minor over his nine career starts, the Jet Spur gelding won the Group 3 McLachlan Stakes (1200m) in late December; progressing to success in the $150,000 Racing Minister’s Plate (1200m), third in the Group 2 Silver Slipper (1100m) and fourth in the Group 2 Todman Stakes (1200m) most notably.
