Yankee Rose savaged the line for second in the Group 1 Golden Slipper (1200m) a fortnight ago and will leave from barrier 8 in the 2016 ATC Sires’ Produce Stakes.

Trialling well in the lead-up to her competitive debut, Yankee Rose immediately stamped herself as one to watch with a dominant performance to win a Rosehill Gardens minor over 1100m on October 31st.

Returning to the paddock after winning the Golden Gift (1100m) three weeks later, the All American filly’s performance in the Golden Slipper suggests she will relish the 1400m of the 2016 ATC Sires’ Produce Stakes this weekend.

Telperion produced an impressive performance for fourth in the Golden Slipper and could very well receive the run of the race in the 2016 ATC Sires’ Produce Stakes from the ideal barrier 4.

Running third to Yankee Rose on debut in October, Telperion made a successful transition to black type company when taking out the Listed Lonhro Plate (1100m) first-up on February 13th.

Having placed fourth behind fellow ATC Sires’ Produce Stakes acceptor Good Standing in the Group 2 Skyline Stakes (1200m) on February 27th, the Street Cry colt will be partnered by leading Godolphin hoop James McDonald.

Hugh Bowman is confident Good Standing will enjoy a step up to 1400m in the 2016 ATC Sires’ Produce Stakes but will undoubtedly require luck in running after drawing barrier 12.

Good Standing finished second in the Golden Gift on debut and was immediately returned to the paddock with a view towards the Autumn Carnival by trainer James Cummings.

Delivering a number of notable rivals defeat in the Skyline Stakes first-up, the Artie Schiller colt was unable to make much of an impact in the Golden Slipper but has reportedly taken plenty of benefit from the run.

Peter & Paul Snowden saddled Capitalist to success in the Golden Slipper and will launch a two-pronged attack in the 2016 ATC Sires’ Produce Stakes after confirming last-start winner Attention and Detective in the final field.

Attention is a proven performer at the distance having comfortably won the Group 3 Baillieu Stakes last weekend while Detective finished second in the Group 2 VRC Sires’ Produce Stakes (14400m) at Flemington on March 12th.
