Yankee Rose has continued to firm into outright $3.60 favouritism in 2016 ATC Sires’ Produce Stakes betting markets with Ladbrokes.com.au ahead of Telperion ($3.80), Omei Sword ($5.50) and Seaburge ($8).

Will Yankee Rose justify favouritism and win the 2016 ATC Sires’ Produce Stakes or will one of her talented rivals find the line in the clear?

1st

Yankee Rose ($3.60)

Yankee Rose has more than stamped herself as a serious racehorse through her short but impressive racing career so far and will be tough to beat in the ATC Sires’ Produce from barrier 8 and with only 54.5kgs in tow. Debuting for consecutive wins in the Viridian Lightbridge Plate (1100m) and Golden Gift (1100m) in late spring, the All American filly trialled well in the lead-up to her autumn return and produced a huge late turn of foot to finish a close second to Capitalist in the Group 1 Golden Slipper (1200m) first-up a fortnight ago. Sure to have taken plenty of benefit from the run, Yankee Rose will relish a step up to 1400m and will be partnered by last start hoop Zac Purton.

2nd

Good Standing ($10)

The James Cummings-trained Good Standing was unable to overcome a slow start when tenth in the Golden Slipper last start, but is another runner that will enjoy a step up in distance and will be partnered by leading jockey Hugh Bowman. Debuting for second behind Yankee Rose in the Golden Gift, Good Standing produced a polished performance to beat a talented field to the line in the Group 2 Skyline Stakes (1200m) in his only other start prior to the Slipper. Cummings has been pleased with the condition of the Artie Schiller colt leading into the ATC Sires’ Produce Stakes.

3rd

Telperion ($3.80)

Godolphin runner Telperion savaged the line for fourth in the Golden Slipper a fortnight ago and could very well receive the run of the race in the Sires’ Produce from barrier 4. Placing third behind Yankee Rose in the Viridian Lightbridge Plate on debut in October, the Street Cry colt returned this time for success in the Listed Lonhro Plate (1100m) and fourth in the Skyline Stakes leading into the Golden Slipper. James McDonald returns to the saddle of the two-year-old, who interestingly figures as the only Godolphin entrant in the twelve horse field.
