Pressday looks set to make it a clean sweep in the Brisbane two-year-olds treble

Pressday, the warm $2.70 favourite, had a perfectly timed run in the BRC Sire’s Produce, making his move on the turn home to run down the early leaders and secure a tidy one length victory ahead of Jesse’s Girl ($5) with Levi’s Choice running a gallant third just a further short-neck back.

Meanwhile the Lee Freedman-trained Smokin’ Joey, coming off a fifth place in the Classic, has also suffered a blow with a poor barrier 13 draw.

A major drawcard at the meeting will be the exciting two-year-olds running in the $250,000 Group 2 BRC Sire’s Produce Stakes (1400m).
